Position Summary:

Generations Church is seeking a dedicated and talented Part-Time Worship Leader to join our ministry team. The Worship Leader will play a pivotal role in creating an atmosphere of worship and spiritual connection during our church services. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling available band members, selecting worship sets, and adapting songs to the skills of our singers and instrumentalists.

Key Responsibilities:

Worship Coordination: Plan and coordinate weekly worship services in collaboration with the pastoral team, ensuring a cohesive and spiritually enriching experience.

Band Member Scheduling: Recruit, schedule, and lead a team of talented musicians and vocalists for each worship service. Ensure that all musicians are adequately prepared for rehearsals and services.

Song Selection: Choose appropriate worship sets that align with the theme and message of each service. Curate a diverse repertoire of songs that engage the congregation and facilitate worship.

Adaptation of Songs: Modify song arrangements, keys, and styles to match the skills and abilities of available singers and instrumentalists, ensuring a harmonious and impactful performance.

Rehearsals: Lead and facilitate weekly rehearsals, guiding the band and vocalists to perform at their best. Provide constructive feedback and support for skill development.

Worship Experience: Foster a worship experience that encourages active participation and spiritual growth among our congregation. Create an atmosphere where worshippers can encounter God authentically.

Technical Oversight: Collaborate with our sound and media team to ensure seamless technical execution during worship services, including sound checks, lyrics, and multimedia presentations.

Team Building: Cultivate a positive and unified worship team culture characterized by collaboration, spiritual growth, and excellence in performance.

Qualifications:

A passionate and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Demonstrated experience in leading worship, with proficiency in playing musical instruments (e.g., guitar, piano, etc.).

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Ability to adapt and arrange music to suit the strengths of the worship team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with audio-visual equipment and software is a plus.

Previous experience in a worship leader role or similar position is preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $100.00 - $101.00 per week
