Generations Bank is Hiring a Sales Manager Near Rogers, AR

SUMMARY

Under the leadership of the Bank President, the Sales Manager is accountable for developing and administering strategic guidance in areas of growth within the branches, new accounts, and retail services to meet the banks strategic plan. Responsible for coordinating, organizing, directing, the sales and retail marketing programs. The Sales Manager will be held accountable for the efficient, relationship operations of the bank's branches.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Inspire communication of Generations Bank's core values and strategic plans to all team members to ensure the delivery of Generations Bank's sales and relationship-oriented culture.
  2. Oversee employee development via coaching, evaluating, and mentoring.
  3. Establish accountability and communicate quarterly and annual performance results and goals for measurements including household growth, services per household, referrals per FTE, sales and referral credits, and composite tone of service for team members within bank's structure.
  4. Conduct Sales and Service celebratory meetings for the bank to recognize and reward exceptional sales and service delivery, share important product information, and facilitate the sales culture of the bank. Coordinate annual sales celebrations for the local bank. Ensure appropriate recognition and rewards to team members are aligned with performance.
  5. Leverage systems and tools including Teslar, Vertical IQ, and Revenue Queue with others to be implemented CRM-type systems to plan, develop, set goals, implement, and measure bank's direct sales efforts.
  6. Work with Generations Bank's Systems and IT to recommend and implement improvements in core and distributed systems, monitor new requirements, and assist with execution of enhancements to key branch banking systems.
  7. Coordinate with the Marketing and Advertising efforts of the branches to maintain compliance with the allocation of the branch budget.
  8. Implement and execute investment strategies/policies with Generations Bank's CFO and President.
  9. Proactively monitor sales activities in the local market to ensure that practices reflect Generations Bank's Mission, Vision, and Core Values by matching customer needs with appropriate products. Actively promote selling with integrity.
  10. In coordination with operations, Marketing, and Treasury Management departments, develop new account proposals for corporate business.
  11. Accountable for attainment of goals in areas such as ROA, ROE, Net Profit, Gross Revenue, and Growth.
  12. Make personal business development calls aligned with sales process.
  13. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any know violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
  14. Cross -sell other services of the bank.
  15. Support and uphold the Generations Bank's Core Values.
  16. Maintain a high level of rapport with all team members in order to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service.
  17. Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency for the bank's overall operations.
  18. Foster and promote the proper bank image at all times.
  19. Maintain involvement in community in each of our markets.

SECONDARY DUTIES

The position of Sales Manager performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises between 3 to 10 team members and other associates indirectly. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations, and Generations Bank's BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining team members. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other team members within the guidelines of the bank's procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

The incumbent is in a non-confined office type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The position includes driving a Bank or personal owned vehicle approximately 10-20% of the time which includes exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.

The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 10 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.

The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, smart phone, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), scanner, and image systems, typewriter, computer terminal, laptop computer, personal computer, tablet, printers, or other equipment as directed.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BS/BA in business, finance or related disciplines or equivalent work experience required.
  • Ten (10) years previous experience in banking or related field, with emphasis in sales, lending, branch banking, and compliance required.
  • Eight (8) years of experience managing people required.
  • Sales Leadership - Five (5) years preferred.
  • Banking school graduate preferred.
