GENERAL TRUCK SALES is Hiring a Commercial Truck Salesperson Near Indianapolis, IN

We are currently seeking a Commercial Truck Salesperson to join our growing team!

Summary

The right person will sell new and used heavy duty and medium duty trucks at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards in our state-of-the-art dealership facility.We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a strong work ethic. This position is responsible for building long lasting customer and industry relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Essential Duties:

  • Build meaningful and long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Source new business within an assigned area.
  • Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with dealership policies.
  • Attends product and sales training courses as requested by sales manager.
  • Keeps up-to-date on new products and services within the industry.
  • Updates and maintain customer relationship management system.
  • Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Approaches, greets, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
  • Assists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Explains fully product performance, application and benefits to prospects.
  • Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
  • Exhibits high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures sold vehicles for customer delivery are ready prior to customer arrival.
  • Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty and paperwork.
  • Introduces customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department.
  • Attends sales meetings.
  • Maintains professional appearance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

  • Must be highly focused on providing an industry-leading customer experience.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Two to four years of progressive sales experience is preferred.
  • Previous commercial sales or B2B sales experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Outlook/Microsoft Office and computer skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
