General Technologies, Inc., has an immediate openings for a Fabricator/Welder in our Fabrication department. The Fabricator/Welder is responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment according to established production quality standards and engineering specification. The ideal candidate must be highly skilled fabricators that can take a job from start to finish.

Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

• Set-up welding machines based on specific welding specifications
• Weld components and assemblies using TIG and MIG on mild and stainless steel.
• Perform final assembly to produce high quality finished products.
• Cut, grind, machine, and form work-pieces as required accurately including sheet metal, plate, tube, pipe, channel and angle.
• Must have knowledge and experience in using cutting torch, plasma cutter, and air arc gouge.
• Examine completed work for defects, and measure pieces with straightedges and templates to ensure conformance with specifications, report nonconforming material to team leader for quality assurance.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Educational and General Qualification Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of fabrication experience.
• Ability to MIG and TIG weld.
• Ability to weld 1F, 2F, 3F, 4F welding positions, 6G welding position is a plus.
• Ability to read unit of measurements.
• Ability to read/understand engineering drawings & specs to plan completion of pieces.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 7am 3:30pm (Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed)
