At General Property Construction the safety coordinator manages an organization's safety and security programs to ensure a safe working environment. Their responsibilities include:

• Planning: Developing, preparing, and implementing safety and security policies and procedures
• Training: Teaching supervisors, managers, and other leaders about health and safety standards, and presenting safety training sessions
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations
• Risk assessment: Handling risk assessments to gather information on safety issues
• Verification: Verifying that employees consistently follow safety protocols
• Data analysis: Analyzing health and safety data
• Review and recommendation: Reviewing and recommending changes to regular activities
• Monitoring: Monitoring all activities
• Guidance: Providing guidance and assistance as needed
• Reports: Completing reports as requested by the Risk Management Division
• Inspections: Conducting routine Safety Inspections of work areas
• Drills: Coordinating bi-annual emergency evacuation drills

Qualifications:

• Strong administrative skills:

• Bachelor s Degree or 4 years equivalent experience in engineering, science, math or other technical areas preferred.
• 0-2 years experience in Construction or Quality Engineering.
• 0-2 years experience in the medical device, or other FDA regulated industry.
