Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, as well as providing exceptional customer service. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Duties: - Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their needs and preferences - Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyewear - Adjust and repair eyeglasses as needed - Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance - Process orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses - Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology Qualifications: - Previous experience as an Optician or in a similar role is preferred - Strong knowledge of optical principles, including lens types, frame materials, and lens coatings - Familiarity with medical terminology related to ophthalmology and optometry - Proficiency in using optical equipment, such as lensometers and pupillometers - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and fittings - Knowledge of medical coding for insurance billing is a plus - Retail management experience is a plus Skills: - Aseptic technique - Sales - Vital signs - Epic - Optical - Physiology knowledge - Medical coding - Ophthalmology - Retail management - Medical terminology If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for helping others see clearly, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
