GENERAL SUMMARY OF PURPOSE:
Under direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, take a “hands on” approach in the maintenance, service, repair and preventive maintenance on all plant equipment with the intent to maximize the life and productivity of the equipment and eliminate equipment breakdown.
The qualified candidate will be able to perform preventive maintenance, equipment start up and troubleshooting in a team environment. The individual must be able to read prints, electrical drawings and schematics.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Work as a team player within the maintenance department.
Practice accident prevention and contribute heavily to plant safety and cleanliness.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and service industrial equipment, boilers, steam pneumatic systems, electronic, electrical and waste water discharge processes.
Utilize innovative hands-on electrical, technical and mechanical techniques in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.
Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment to maximize equipment productivity and eliminate equipment breakdown.
Support the plant effort to maximize productivity and all other duties assigned by management.
Constantly seek to improve the safety and cleanliness of all areas of the plant by recommending improvements and by eliminating or preventing known deficiencies throughout the facility, including plant equipment, overhead rail and other facility systems, etc.
Maintain good housekeeping practices, organization and order throughout your workday.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
May be required to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. occasionally, stand and walk frequently throughout the day, continuous use of hands and arms for handling and reaching equipment, some bending, crouching, and stooping.
Work is performed in a fast paced production environment with normal exposure to noise, above average temperature changes, and other normal production floor conditions.
