Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ironworker to join our team. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for constructing and installing structural steel components. This is a physically demanding role that requires expertise in welding, rigging, and working with heavy machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Assemble metal structures using various tools and equipment
- Weld components together using stick welding techniques
- Operate machinery such as forklifts and arial lifts
- Install and secure structural steel components using cranes or other lifting equipment
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Ironworker or similar role
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including stick welding
- Familiarity with rigging procedures and operating cranes or other lifting equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools effectively
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
