As the Dispatch Analyst at General Express, you will be responsible for the analysis, optimization and planning of our Load board and Driver Utilization. This position encourages creative thinking/planning of best equipment, driver, terminal, utilization within capacity constraints. All while meeting our customer service requirements, minimizing cost, and maximizing available driver hours, productivity, and profitability.

Our Dispatcher / Customer Service Role is a key leadership role that oversees the day-to-day performance of a group of Intermodal drivers while ensuring our customer commitments are met. To be successful, this position will require excellent communication skills, attention to detail along with the ability to manage driver dispatches, driver plans and Intermodal Freight transactions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors driver utilization and helps support the planning and dispatching of freight as needed
• Communication with our customers and drivers making sure our commitments are met.
• Lead and problem solve independently at times, as well as with a team
• Use various transportation management systems to ensure timely and accurate data for both customers and drivers
• Contributes to an atmosphere of trust and teamwork that values contributions of all employees
• Driver manager support functions as necessary
• Ability to multitask efficiently
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years recent Driver Manager and or Dispatch experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and change management
• Must be a self-starter and highly motivated individual
