Job Description Summary
The GE Aerospace Tradeshow & Events team provides conference, meeting and tradeshow management worldwide, leveraging project management and event planning expertise to execute world-class events that support the company's brand and business objectives. In this role, you will represent GE Aerospace by leading a variety of high-level customer and executive events around the globe.
Job Description
Necessary skills:
- Lead and flawlessly execute global conferences, meetings and events with a key focus on external customers
- Determine purpose of the meeting, prepare a project plan with specifications, and obtain historical information related to program
- Identify stakeholder needs, prepare program outlines (topics, content, speakers), design program details to meet needs of participants, identify successful criteria for evaluation of meeting and determine technology requirements
- Proactively escalate potential client, program, or delivery issues for timely resolution
- Support registration procedures
- Provide on-site support at shows, meetings, conferences and events
- Work with Brand and Event Director and Senior Tradeshow & Event Manager to plan and execute events that will enhance the organization's brand image and product / service awareness in the marketplace
- Provide appropriate settings in which GE Aerospace leaders can meet with customers and build strong business relationships
- Determine appropriate geographical location and venue
- Identify services required, and coordinate security procedures
- Create agendas for site inspection
- Plan, order, and oversee technology requirements
- Conduct pre-meeting briefing with suppliers and facility providers
- Create post-conference summary
- Coordinate with other event planners and business leaders to assure synergy across business divisions
- Partner proactively with compliance organization to ensure GE Aerospace's rules of conduct and external regulations are followed
- Measure the results of these events against key business priorities and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Build a network of hospitality industry contacts
- Manage financials associated with customer meetings and events
- Develop budget for meeting which may include vendor contract negotiations
- Ensure completion of payment and /or billing process
- Track and report expenses within GE Aerospace guidelines and deadlines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with at least 4 years of experience in a global event planning role)
- Must be able to travel 50%
- Certified Meeting Professional accreditation preferred
- Computer proficiency, and exposure to applicable software (CVENT, Project Management software, Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel)
