Roles and Responsibilities:
Role Summary:
Build exciters and subcomponents
Repair leads, harnesses, loads and related ESS & Burn-in equipment to maximize production usage
Test, troubleshoot and diagnose electromechanical, electrical assemblies, components/exciters using oscilloscope, multi-meter etc. and rework
Determine root cause of failures and implement corrective actions
Document test data for analysis and problem resolution
Program burn-in oven and electrical equipment (PCB, EXP)
Essential Responsibilities
In addition, you will:
Completion of dimensional training and demonstration of proficiency
Use an open test set-up when test fixtures are not available
First point of contact for assembly issues
Working from work instructions, specifications, engineering drawings, and procedures
Assist with corrective action investigations
Take a hands-on approach to function with limited direction
Understand product flow within the department and assist when necessary to reduce bottlenecks
Provide feedback to Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineers, and Equipment Services on process improvements
Work with M.E.’s on MDR’s to determine root cause and to assist in implementing corrective action for parts and equipment failures
Interface with internal customers and suppliers
Instruct and train less experienced operators
Qualifications/Requirements
Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes
Experience with quality guidelines and procedures (PB, EXP)
Working knowledge of drill press operation, welding, brazing, soldering, general assembly processes (EXP)
Familiar with OEM and corrective action investigations
Prior experience with the operation of Exciter ESS/Burn-In; electro/mechanical troubleshooting
Proficient in the following areas:
Blueprint/Schematic interpretation (EXP)
Mechanical skills with assembly and measuring tools
Microsoft Office application/ERP
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Verbal and written communication skills
Math skills
Eligibility Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
Five (5) years of Manufacturing Experience with product specific to department
Associates Degree or certification preferred or relevant electrical work
Desired Certifications:
Solder/Solder Inspection Certified
Structural soldering inspection
Structural Solder Certified
Braze/Braze Inspection Certified
Weld Inspection Certified (Class I and II)
Helium and Hot Water leak test Certified
Final Inspection Certified as required
