General Electric Company is Hiring a Manufacturing Associate 3rd Shift Near Beavercreek, OH

Job Description Summary

The GE Aviation facility manufactures gas turbine tubes, ducts, and manifolds, and also has complex machining, fabrication and investment casting capabilities. Product engineering, new product development and testing is performed on site. This facility also does repair and overhaul of tubes, ducts and manifolds.

Job Description

No Experience Required! Will train the right candidates!


Wages are $20.55 - $23.79 per hour based on experience.

Additional $1.50 Premium Pay for 3rd shift!!

Roles and Responsibilities:

Manufacturing duties including tending and operating a variety of tools, such as:

  • Hand gauges (i.e. plug gauges, calipers, etc.)
  • Chemical cleaning equipment (coating, wear sleeves, etc.)
  • Special-Purpose Machines (i.e., shot peen, seam welders, cut-off saws, wax injection, etc.) to machine, clean, or inject workpieces to specification on production basis.
  • Lifts workpieces manually or with hoist and positions and secures in fixture or loads automatic feeding device. Follows written instructions and photographs.
  • Verifies conformance of parts to specifications, using instruments, such as preset comparator, fixed gauges, calipers, or micrometer.
  • Will be required to transfer from one type of machine/equipment to another as situation demands, as well as performing miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisory personnel.
  • Will use a computer daily (checking email, viewing/downloading shop drawings and instructions)
  • Willing to undergo on-the-job training to learn specific assignments
  • Will lift up to 25 pounds repetitively. Occasionally lifts up to 40 pounds non-repetitive. With assistance, occasionally lift over 50 pounds

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Surroundings. You’ll be operating and working around moving machines – stand-up forklifts, mobile carts, cranes, etc. Due to normal machining operations there may be dust, fumes, or smoke (not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels (PEL)).

Activity. In addition to sitting and standing while operating equipment, some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs.
