In order to be elligible for this requisition you must have a scheduled interview for our on-campus UCONN interview event.

Columbia Class:

SSBNs are the most secure and survivable of our nation’s nuclear deterrent triad. Columbia SSBN’s will carry approximately 70 percent of the nation’s nuclear arsenal. The cost of maintaining the U.S. triad is three percent of the DoD budget. The cost to maintain the SSBN leg of the triad is one percent of the DoD budget.

Virginia Class:

Representing a revolution in advanced design and construction techniques and mission flexibility, Virginia-class submarines are providing the U.S. Navy with the capabilities it requires to maintain undersea superiority well into the 21st century. The Virginia class is the first U.S. Navy warship designed from the keel up for the full range of mission requirements in the post-Cold War era. Qualifications

Required: 

  • Have been scheduled for an interview for our on-campus UCONN interview event. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Level Clearance

Preferred: 

  • Experience with Navy or Naval Systems
  • Previous DOD or Government Contractor work
