General Dynamics Electric Boat is Hiring a Mechanical Designer Near Groton, CT
- High School diploma/GED or Vocational High School diploma
- 6 years of relevant Mechanical Design work experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft products
- Demonstrated proficiency in design (portfolio) with Computer Aided Design (CAD)
- Ability to perform design related math functions
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions and drawings (blueprints)
- Firm understanding of Design Standards, Manufacturing Processes and Military Specifications including GD&T
- 2 year Technical School/College
- Experience with CATIA and/or NX
- Familiarity with Design for Six Sigma, Lean Design/Manufacturing
