Job Description

Pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00 per hour.

• This is a mid-level position to work in the Carpenter Trade. Applicants may be assigned any C02 tasks with limited assistance, including but (not limited to) : Working with wood, aluminum, steel, or herculite to fabricate saw horses, ladders, steps, shipping containers, protective covers, and other items;
• shoring, jacking, and leveling of ship sections; installing fabricated furniture items and joiner doors on ships; installing temporary wooden decking panels;

Required / Preferred Education / Training

Preferred :

• High School Diploma or GED
• Trade / Technical schooling in a relevant field
• More than 1 year working as a carpenter in training

Required / Preferred Experience

Required - the ability to read a measuring tape.

Required - basic math skills.

Required - the ability to work with hand tools as well as power tools, band saws, table saws, planers, and lathes.

Required - the ability to climb stairs and ladders and work on staging or in a condo lift.

Required - experience reading blueprints.

Must be able to meet the requirements of the Physical Task Analysis.
