The Generator Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site and phone troubleshooting, repair, equipment modifications, installation, and sales support of Generac industrial products.
This position will require up to 50% travel; fleet vehicle provided.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
With respect to different levels, please review the below and a recruiter will be in contact to discuss your interests and qualifications :
- Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams
- Understand components and operation of an electrical distribution system
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to make independent decisions, and work with minimal supervision
- Experienced in Electronics, Electromechanical Technology
- Knowledge of power generation; light tower, pumps, and heating products
- Spark Ignited knowledge
Technical Field Service Representative Trainee
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1 - 3 years related mechanical experience and completion of Electrical / Electronic or HVAC program
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 1 - 3 years related Industrial experience
Compensation Range
$25.59 - $35.82 / hr
Technical Field Service Representative Level I
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 2 - 3 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 4 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)
Compensation Range
$30.83 - $45.96 / hr
Technical Field Service Representative Level II

- 10 - 15 years in advance troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)

$47.70 - $71.55 / hr
