Job Title: Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Department(s): Genera Energy Inc.

Reports To: CFO

Job Summary:

Partnering directly with the CFO, the FP&A Manager leads the budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, business strategic analysis, and reporting functions of the business. Conducts financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations and performance to budget. The FP&A Manager reviews and analyzes business and operations results, develops insightful suggestions for business improvement, investment, cost reductions, operational efficiencies and supports strategic business decision-making.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Identify and comprehend business issues; propose and carry-out solutions.
  • Partner with the CFO and executive team to develop the company's financial and strategic plan.
  • Evaluating and recommending modifications to projections and budgets.
  • Overseeing and managing all aspects of fundamental financial planning and analysis, such as budget planning, spending, predicting, reporting and other tasks.
  • Analyze business and financial data.
  • Create financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making.
  • Develops financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.
  • Analyze industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.
  • Evaluates capital expenditures and depreciation.
  • Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
  • Provides comprehensive review and commentary on cost center performance.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong analytical toolkit that makes use of business intelligence and reporting software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of project management.
  • Through understanding of cost accounting a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of professional in finance, FP&A, accounting or a related field in a manufacturing business.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
