Flower Shop Associate

Summary: At GeNell's Flowers, our goal is to ensure that every flower arrangement delivered is beautiful and that every customer experience is exceptional. We are growing and are currently seeking a positive, up-beat, and energetic person to join our team.

Responsibilities:

· Provide exceptional service to customers in-store and over the telephone to ensure that every customer experience is a positive one.

· Collaborate closely with customers to understand their preferences so that their requests are successfully fulfilled.

· Accurately, effectively, and efficiently use the flower shop point-of-sale system to take customer orders, accept payment, and provide receipts.

· Package orders with care to assist in ensuring all orders are delivered safely and efficiently to customers.

· Learn and progress in floral design skills in order to gradually have the ability to take on design work.

· Drive deliveries as needed.

· Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Ability to work during major floral holidays and Saturdays (Saturday hours are 9am-1pm.)

· Professional and warm demeanor in all interactions with customers and team members in order to promote a positive and welcoming shop atmosphere.

· Excellent interpersonal skills/ability to relate well with all customers.

· Ability to take direction and consistently follow through on shop processes.

· Strong attention to detail, including spelling/grammar on customer orders, and the ability to think on your feet.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment, responding to priority and last-minute orders/tasks.

· Computer literacy and willingness to learn floral processes and computer systems.

· Physical ability to stand up for 8 hours per day and lift and carry products/materials up to 40 lbs.

· Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 35 per week
