Job Description: Fire Extinguisher Portable Technician

Job Summary

• Conduct routine inspections of fire extinguisher systems at customer sites to assess their condition and functionality.
• Perform maintenance tasks, including refilling, recharging, and replacing components of fire extinguishers as needed.
• Identify any issues or deficiencies in fire extinguisher systems and promptly address them to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Document all inspection and service activities accurately and thoroughly, maintaining detailed records of each client’s fire extinguisher.
• Collaborate with customers to provide recommendations and solutions for enhancing fire protection measures based on their specific requirements.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to fire extinguisher maintenance and safety.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to coordinate service schedules, resolve inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service.

• High School diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in fire protection systems is preferred.
• Proven experience in inspecting servicing or maintaining fire extinguisher systems is preferrable.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards, such as NFPA and OSHA is preferred, but we will train.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.
• Detail oriented mindset with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Must be comfortable driving company vehicles, working from heights and in an industrial/warehouse setting.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
