Position Specific Responsibilities
Works closely with the team to ensure the consistency and quality of our ingredients, bulk formulations, and finished products through both in-house and third-party testing
Collects and prepare samples for a variety of analyses
Documents all samples in the appropriate logs
Performs spectrophotometric, solubility, wax precipitation and other tests, as required
Inspects and sample product to ensure that all product meets HACCP/HARPC guidelines and product specifications
Performs QA functions in receiving and releasing product, ensuring that products conform to specification and are documented accordingly
Writes and reviews new and current SOPs
Maintains a clean laboratory environment through regular cleaning, including washing of glassware; contributes to departmental and companywide cleaning and sanitation efforts
Accountable for communicating disturbances to the workflow or work environment in a timely manner
Knowledgeable on departmental SOPs, equipment operations and troubleshooting, and has basic knowledge of process flow, including rejection criteria
Actively participate on solo/team projects
Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Director of Quality
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
One year of experience with previous laboratory work and familiarity with quality management systems as well as current food and drug regulations is desirable
Computer literacy and experience using MS Office
Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects
Impeccable attention to detail and focus on exceeding customer satisfaction
Physical ability to stand, crouch, and lift objects throughout a standard workday
