Position Summary

Resident Aide provides care for the residents in Assisted Living. Resident Aides provide care within their scope of training and any directives from the Charge Nurse. At the Napoleon Campus, we are currently looking for candidates that can work a 3rd shift position with rotating weekends.

Benefits

Accountability incentive of $3.00/hour for full-time. Pick-up pay of $6/hour. Sign-on bonus of $1,500 for full-time employees. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide quality personal care to ensure that residents are comfortable and are provided with the highest quality of care.

  • Adheres to all guidelines learned and state guidelines as well as complies with Genacross policies and procedures.

  • Complete administrative requirements to ensure that proper documentation is maintained.

  • Completes paperwork, medical forms, charting and all required documentation as a part of the resident care process and the transition of care process.

  • Assists the residents with daily tasks related to dining and the resident activities program.

  • Follow care plan functions to meet the specific needs of each resident.

  • Focus on resident’s individualized needs and encourage resident’s ability to make personal choices.

  • Accepts direction of charge nurse in relation to direct resident care. 

  • Reports allegations of abuse/neglect and reports, as appropriate, to proper organization leadership.

  • Reports hazardous incidents, including but not limited to, injuries, equipment, etc. to the appropriate Manager/Supervisor.

  • Implements and follows disaster plans in the event of an emergency.

  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be at least 16 years old.

  • 1-2 years of experience in Assisted Living setting or the elderly population.

  • Must have or be willing to complete required training for the position of Resident Aide Assistant including first-aid training.

  • Must demonstrate an ability to read, write, understand and communicate job-related information and directions in English.

  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior executives, managers, supervisors and direct care staff, as well as residents, families and physicians.

  • Understands directions; communicates and responds to inquiries promptly.
