Title: Tool Room Bench Hand (2nd or 3rd Shift)
Reports To: Tool Room Supervisor
Status: Full-Time/Hourly non-exempt (40 hours/week; additional hours as needed to support organization and individual goals)
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Motor coordination, manual, and finger dexterity
- Mechanical or Manufacturing Experience
Job Preferences
- Computer Knowledge
- Industrial Truck License
Job Summary
To assist with design, build, repair, and preventative maintenance of all molds and tooling; assist with production line tooling changeovers.
Essential Job Functions
1. Promotes safety awareness, educates, and enforces all safety rules throughout the plant with the goal set at zero plant-related injuries.
2. Fabricate tooling components for blow molds and trim tools.
3. Build and repair various production related equipment (worktables, chutes, etc.)
4. Perform preventative maintenance on mold and secondary tooling.
5. Cut and square material for CNC, Mold, and Trim departments.
6. Assist R&D and production with sample runs.
7. Assist with Production Line Tooling changeovers.
8. Complete all necessary paperwork.
9. Follow all QMS and EMS policies, procedures, and work instructions.
10. General Housekeeping: keep work area clean and organized at all times per the 5-S standard.
