Job title: Senior ACI Network Engineer

Duration: 6 months (could extend to 9-months)

Location: San Jose, CA (hybrid, will go on-site infrequently in order to spot check work) 1-2 times per month

Quick Project overview:

Client will be migrating an ACI data center to a new Colocation in San Jose CA.

They are looking for Senior Network Infrastructure Engineers, with SME in Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI). Simply ACI is a network policy-based automation model.

ACI multi-site and/or multi pod experience is a very big plus.

A dedicated internal team will perform the physical rack and stack

August will be first client migration.

This team will also decommission the DC at the end of the project lifecycle.

Job description:

You will be responsible to design, implement, maintain, and support client s growing network infrastructure. This position will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Assist in building out a new ACI network fabric running on Sonic OS.

Design, Configure, and Deploy Cisco 8K Series Routers

Research, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain system and product solutions, applying knowledge of (ACI) engineering principles.

Provide Tier lll technical support for ACI technologies

Automate and perform daily operational duties supporting the Data Center Application Centric Infrastructure

Develop and maintain advanced functional knowledge of evolving IT engineering industry technologies/competition, concepts, and trends.

Qualifications:

8 Years of network engineering experience

5 years of ACI experience is required

Expertise configuring Nexus 9k and 8k switches

Working knowledge of Application Policy Infrastructure Controllers (APIC)- APIC cluster is our single point of management for the ACI fabric.

Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and automating ACI solutions

Tier lll escalation support experience in a Data Center environment

Experience working with Cisco 9k and 8K Series Routers

Expert executing basic Network Routing Protocols like OSPF, BGP and working knowledge of IS-IS (Integrated Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System) for ACI routing.

Knowledge of VLAN or MACsec (Media Access Control security)

Solid understanding of the Data Center industry, products, and protocols.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience

Advanced verbal and written communication skills

Effective organizational, planning and time management skills

Nice to have:

Experience with SONiC OS or other open-source network operating systems

Working knowledge of SAI (Switch Abstraction Interface)

CCNP or CCIE Certification
