Primary Position Objective :
Under close supervision, RECEIVES telephone calls from customers requesting Water and Roadside Service. DISPATCHES appropriate towing assistance.
SERVICES inquiries related to customer requests and SELLS acceptable towing services and BoatU.S. Memberships primarily via telephone and online.
SERVICES licensed inquiries related to customer requests via telephone calls and / or internet messages from GEICO specialty insurance policyholders.
RECEIVES telephone calls and / or internet messages from policyholder. VERIFIES facts, DETERMINES liability and MAINTAINS and SETTLES designated first party, non-injury claims by telephone / and or internet.
Essential Functions :
ESTABLISHES new loss reports and SETS UP the subsequent claim file.
VERIFIES necessary accident facts and circumstances by telephone, internet and / or mail and DETERMINES applicable policy coverage .
DETERMINES the company’s loss payment exposure under the policy contract and PREPARES claims for payment or REFERS claim for denial of coverage.
RECEIVES telephone and / or internet inquiries from policyholders, claimants or repair shops and RESOLVES questions and complaints.
MAKES assignment of vessel to the appropriate expert via computer.
DETERMINES possible payment recovery. OPENS or REFERS claims to payment recovery .
RECEIVES customer requests for Emergency Water and Road Service by telephone.
VERIFIES policy coverage and towing limits. OBTAINS necessary information from customer and DETERMINES what service is required.
LOCATES appropriate towing company and COORDINATES service required, including conferencing proper towing company and obtaining an ETA.
RECOMMENDS and SELLS coverage and towing enhancements to current customers via telephone.
SPEAKS with internal and external customers in a way that BUILDS GEICO’s customer base and promotes customer satisfaction through efficient, accurate, and courteous interactions.
ADHERES to the GEICO Code of Conduct, the GEICO Claims Code of Conduct, company policies and operating principles.
MEETS attendance standard at business location to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with supervisors and co-workers.
