Position Overview
Reporting to the Business Unit Supervisor, the Labeling Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the high speed packaging equipment including the Palletizer and De-palletizer and all effected production equipment. This individual will work as part of a team and ensure a team environment is supported.
Job Responsibilities
Completes machine set ups, change overs, tooling changes, adjustments and troubleshooting related to the operation of one or more packaging machines.
Maintains line efficiencies at designed rate and the standards to meet quality and customer requirements.
Performs general light maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and related equipment.
Verbally communicates at shift changes with other operators on status of machines performance.
Enters equipment downtime and reasons into the MES data system for your equipment promptly.
Maintains appropriate quality and production documentation.
Verifies product matches the production schedule and completes inventory documentation.
Monitors bottle, carton and case codes to ensure the product is being properly packaged and quality standards are being adhered to.
Reports out of standard results to the Quality department and supervisor immediately.
Reports unsafe conditions or other compliance issues to assigned Line Lead and/or Supervisor.
Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Efficient and safe use of fork truck as needed.
Retrieves and maintains product from the ASRS storage area.
The individual will be required to lift 50 pounds, bend, climb stairs and stand the majority of their shift.
Ensures compliance with Gehl safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements while following the companys Good Manufacturing Practices.
