Geary Pacific is a distributor of air conditioning, heating, and refrigerant equipment, related parts, and supplies, serving HVAC contractors nation-wide.
We seek an experienced Purchasing Agent with a background in distribution purchasing to join our team of excellence.
Pay: $65,000- $80,000 annually, depending on experience
Shift: Monday-Friday, in-office position. 6am-3pm, 7am-4pm, or 8am-5pm

Job Summary:
The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for generating and managing inventory replenishment for Geary Pacific's 30 branch locations; "buying to replenish" branch inventory based on past sales, forecasting, and what our customers are asking for.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and manage inventory replenishment orders for all branch locations.
- Expedite and follow up on all orders.
- Manage transfer orders to maximize customer service and availability.
- Assist branches on sourcing and placing special orders for customers.
- Review stock levels daily for expected performance and make adjustments
- Work with sales branches to manage slow moving / non-performing inventory
- Must work well with others and offer excellent customer service to our branches as needed.
Requirements:
- 3 years purchasing experience in (distribution), required
- 1 years forecasting and/or distribution purchasing experience, required
- At least one year of customer service experience, required
- Proficient with all Microsoft programs such Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to learn our internal ERP software - (we use Mincron)
- HVAC or related industry distribution experience, preferred
- Creative problem-solving skills and sense of urgency
- Excellent communication skills - listening, speaking, and written
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Must be a team player
