Job Description Summary
The Demand Planning Leader is responsible for the forecast management of Magnetic Resonance (MR) Purchase for Stock (PFS) planning, and supporting the handoff from planning to manufacturing execution. In this position, you will plan and schedule material forecasts for over 1500 parts across system/feeder plants and partner with MR Global Demand Planner to align MR requirements and customer expectations. This role will need to partner with SBU, RBU, and Manufacturing teams to understand product strategy, NPI, demand management patterns, and supply consumption. You will be responsible for defining and leading standard work across the Planning organization and sharing best practices with key organizational stakeholders.
Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Lead PFS planning across system & feeder sites, accounting for PSI system forecast, NPI/product roadmap, service/upgrades, and aligned to SBU inventory/fulfillment strategy.
  • Measure, report, and drive improvements to forecast accuracy
  • Monitoring and analysis of sales history, reporting of forecast changes and drivers. Measuring and analyzing regional key performance indicators and derive clear actions from it
  • Track and analyze regional demand performance and take leadership in exceptions management (Big Deal, RA Approvals)
  • Partner with manufacturing sites to improve inventory and OTD, identifying root causes of excess inventory and OTD defects
  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements
  • Collaborate with other Demand Planners/Materials professionals in other modalities, GEHC analytics team, and the planning and materials COE's, to develop future process improvements. This may include advanced techniques in AI/machine-learning, or automated or exception-based planning
  • Partner with Segment, Global Planning Teams and Planning COE to deploy Next Gen Planning in MR PFS.
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree and at least 3 years supply chain experience or HS Diploma and 6 years supply chain experience
  • Experience in Oracle (GLPROD), ASCP and Demantra or similar ERP system (SAP, JD Edwards, etc)
  • Experience in at least one of the following: Materials, Demand Planning, OTR/Fulfillment, Sourcing, Logistics
  • A passion for Planning, and problem solving with continuous improvement
  • Ability to communicate and modify style from hands-on entry level training to executive summaries
  • Ability to drive and measure impact that improves Customer and GE outcomes
  • Ability to lead AWO's and CAP with Materials and RBU teams
Desired Characteristics:
  • Buyer, MCC, Order Fulfillment Leader, or Master Scheduler experience in Demantra or equivalent.
  • Experience using statistical forecasting and advanced analytics
  • Strong Lean tool kit
  • Global experience as an individual contributor, leading & influencing people on other teams.
  • APICS or other professional certification programs
