Role Summary/Purpose
Design Specialists will have responsibility to establish accurate and compliant plan administration for GE Vernova Health and Welfare benefit plans. Key areas of focus include building and sustaining inclusive and collaborative relationships internally and externally with operations colleagues and suppliers. You will engage with suppliers and colleagues to create and drive innovative process improvements, lead functional requirement documentation and sign off, testing processes, change management process coordination and oversite, and other various projects and initiatives related to pay, benefits, and/or HR Operations. Ensuring accurate delivery and a positive customer experience will be the standard mindset in all goals and priorities.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Possess deep subject matter expertise in order to deliver accurate, compliant, efficient health and welfare plan administration.
Significant ERP expertise; including configuration and testing
Develop standard operating procedures for plan administration both in-house and with outsourced suppliers.
Lead GEV People Ops US H&W plan functional requirement process for all H&W benefit plans
Manage ERP system testing to include metrics, thorough scenario analysis, multiple integration feeds, impact analysis, issue resolution planning and execution, and corrective action follow up.
Collaborate across GEV People Ops functions to deliver BEST IN CLASS service.
Strong decision-making ability and influencing skills required to lead the Change Management process for functional plan changes.
Manage ERP release strategy; efforts include prioritization of scope (based on business priorities), resource analysis, impact analysis and required testing of other ERP’s, pass/fail requirements.
Close coordination with (internal and supplier) technical teams to evaluate scope, functionality, and risk.
Clearly articulate risk analysis, mitigation plans, communication plans with leadership on progress, setbacks, and critical moment/crisis situations
Utilize SME to find best alternatives to meet business requirements, including cost-effectiveness evaluation of all potential solutions along with risk assessment to be able to recommend best course of action to Vernova and supplier leadership.
Drive continuous process improvements / standardization opportunities.
Utilize LEAN principals to drive operational technology/process improvements to deliver a contemporary experience for the business and employees.
Identify and mitigate risks for deliverables: track risks, escalate issues & coordinate resolution, communicate efficiently and effectively to all stakeholders.
Develop, implement and monitor key process metrics; identify trends and continuously identify process gaps and risk areas to drive new process improvement initiatives
Coordinate and build collaborative partnerships with IT, suppliers, and other key stakeholders
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in related area)
Minimum 3 years professional experience in ERP system management
Minimal travel may be required, as needed, to support team and customers within the region

Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy; ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly matrixed environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to present data in a clear, concise, and articulate manner and targeted for the right audience
Proven negotiation, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills
Self-starter/team player, resourceful; quick learner; self-motivated
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Lean Management, or equivalent quality management experience
