Job Description Summary
This is a Staff Repair Engineering role supporting commercial aviation. This position leads the development of repair and inspection technologies. Leads cross functional teams including design, materials, and PSE (Product Support Engineering) to develop repair procedures.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Development of repair and inspection technologies, process qualification, industrialization. Related program deliverables to repair facilities for new and updated processes.
- Developing specialized knowledge in repair discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in repair.
- Has in-depth knowledge of Aviation repair processes and technical substantiation.
- Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations for repair. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of the repair team to arrive at decisions.
- Mentors colleagues with less experience.
- Leads repair projects with substantial business impact.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, repair, or an applicable discipline
- Travel up to 5% within the US or globally.
Desired Characteristics
- On site candidates may be preferred
- Technical repair writing experience
- Good understanding of Aviation repair manuals
- Understanding FAA regulations and how it pertains to repair
- Experience working with cross functional teams
- Team player mindset
- Prior Aviation Experience
