GE Corporate is Hiring a Parts Sales Manager - Part Time Position Near Windsor, CT

Job Description Summary

As a member of the Clean Combustion Boiler Parts and Services Team, you will be an active contributor to the parts and services Industrial Business Development process that will focus on the quotation and supply of parts and services that will help our customers maintain and operate their plants safely and efficiently. This role will require you to lead and collaborate with a cross functional team to manage a group of products, increase our market share, develop opportunities, and deliver successful parts orders and solutions to our Industrial customers.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define Boiler Parts sales strategy and decide on the various tools and processes that will support our business growth of the industrial market
  • The selected individual will have the skills and passion to steer the business in the path of increasing growth numbers. Must be able to think creatively, thoughtful, curious, humble, coachable, and eager to proceed with the sales process.
  • Prepare a well-defined, detailed sales process to take the business forward and take a prospect along the sales funnel effectively (NEX/SAP), from researching and prospecting to closing.
  • Define KPIs, both qualitative and quantitative, to measure the performance. Communicate to the Parts team with regards to the KPIs, so that they are aware of the organization’s expectations, both in the short and long run. Establish essential KPIs to measure customer acquisition cost, sales growth, customer lifetime cycle, profit margin, and conversion rate.
  • Collaboration and communication will be the critical core processes of our business growth. Develop a robust, regular collaboration platform for internal communication within the business development function and for communication with other sales functions within the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a focus on STEM or Business; or Associate’s degree from an accredited university or college with a focus on STEM or Business with at least 5 years of experience in technical sales & services or technical customer service; or A high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in experience in technical sales & services or technical customer service).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales & services or technical customer services.
  • Willing to travel 25% of the time

Desired Characteristics

  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 platform (proficient in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote.)
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills that allows you to achieve cooperation and reach agreement with customers and internal departments.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude and experience to manage milestones on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess good time management skills and work with little supervision.
  • Prior manufacturing or design experience preferred, with exposure to engineering or shop drawings.
  • Familiarity with boiler product offerings.
  • Knowledge of material logistics, Incoterms, and market pricing structures
  • Application of Agile and LEAN principles in a transactional environment
