Essential Responsibilities:
·Review the terms and conditions and Contract schedule activities for compliance with the overall project execution
·Advise the Project Manager / Project Director of any improvements to the schedule especially where they might be required by the Contract for use as evidence in any later claims for extension of time
·Assist the Project Manager / Project Director in the maintenance of the Contract schedule so as to manage the budget and cost to complete
·Monitor and advise the Project Manager / Project Director of any specific notice received or to be sent to the client/ subcontractor
·Prepare Contract/Subcontract notices based on events impacting the project
·Provision of notice in compliance with the requirements of the Contract
·Preparation/review, of correspondence with customers, partners, subcontractors and/or suppliers
·Development, drafting, submission and negotiation of Claims and Variation Orders
·Review and update the risk & opportunity register and analyze the progress of actions to avoid risks and identify any potential claim
·Monitor the progress of all claims/variation orders to ensure that they proceed in accordance with contract/subcontract requirements
·Monitor the progress of payment of all claims/variation orders to ensure that they proceed in accordance with the process required by the Contract
·Lead and manage contract amendments from issuance to execution
·Manage subcontract invoicing disputes through resolution
·Other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
·Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in commercial, legal, or supply chain fields.
·Minimum of 5 years of experience managing large scale engineering and construction contracts
- At least 2 years of experience in negotiation and resolution of complex contractual issues within the renewable energy or engineering discipline
·Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time
Desired Characteristics:
·Strong contractual and commercial acumen
·Project contract management and risk administration including change orders, claim management, ability to develop and implement project claim strategy
·Experience in developing, negotiating and managing engineering and construction subcontracts
·Ability to support in drafting and follow up of correspondence with stakeholders (customer, suppliers, partners, internal team etc.)
·Manages formal communication with client, key partners and key subcontractors
·Risk Management experience on projects execution
