Role Summary/Purpose
Business Quality Project Managers, will have responsibility to establish compliant and efficient plan administration for GE Vernova Health and Welfare benefit plans. Key areas of focus include building and sustaining effective relationships internally and externally with colleagues, suppliers, and our Vernova HR community. Utilizing LEAN and other quality tools, you will engage with suppliers and colleagues to create and drive innovative process improvements, lead various cross functional projects and initiatives related to pay, benefits, and/or HR Operations processes and programs.Providing the ultimate customer experience will be the standard mindset in all goals and priorities.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Possess deep subject matter expertise in order to deliver compliant and efficient health and welfare plan administration.
Develop standard operating procedures for plan administration both in-house and with outsourced suppliers.
Provide education and training on benefit plans and processes to key stakeholders across the business and for suppliers.
Manage complex escalations and provide case management oversite to include root cause analysis, resolution, and corrective action follow up.
Collaborate across GEV People Ops functions to deliver BEST IN CLASS service.
Support union contract negotiations/escalations/grievances.
Drive LEAN mindset to identify and lead projects with strong and efficient project management skills.
Manage projects such as Annual Enrollment and other life events.
Lead continuous process improvements / standardization opportunities.
Manage content for online web portal; ensure accuracy, measure effectiveness via Voice of Customer feedback
Represent H&W team with content updates for benefit handbooks, SMM’s, etc.
Develop and practice innovative problem-solving and resolution delivery for issues and concerns with processes, plan policy, customer escalations, and plan compliance risks.
Utilize LEAN principals to drive operational technology/process improvements to deliver a contemporary experience for the business and employees.
Work across project work streams to ensure effective integration. Success is dependent on ability to work across a large matrix organization, and ability to partner and foster productive working relationships with related project and processing groups.
Identify and mitigate risks for deliverables: track risks, escalate issues & coordinate resolution, communicate efficiently and effectively to all stakeholders.
Develop, implement and monitor key process metrics; identify trends and continuously identify process gaps and risk areas to drive new process improvement initiatives
Coordinate and build collaborative partnerships with key GE Vernova TR stakeholders, ERISA legal counsel, and suppliers
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years ofexperience in related area)
Minimum 3 years professional experience in a project management or professional customer service relations role
Minimal travel may be required, as needed, to support team and customers within the region
Desired Characteristics
Master’s degree preferred
Working knowledge of health and welfare benefits and processes
Experience working with outsourced providers and creating meaningful performance measurements via scorecard/audit tools and processes.
Demonstrated success managing projects and/or implementing process improvement initiatives
Strong customer service focus, with the ability to anticipate customer needs and provide a high level of responsiveness
Strong analytical, problem solving and clear-thinking skills; able to identify risks and trends, organize and analyze data
Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy; ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly matrixed environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to present data in a clear, concise, and articulate manner and targeted for the right audience
Proven negotiation, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills
Self-starter/team player, resourceful; quick learner; self-motivated
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Lean Management, or equivalent quality management experience
