Role Summary

In this role, the Software Tech Lead will spend approximately 50% of their time actively contributing to software development for the HAS, 25% of their time providing leadership for a small team of software engineers and 25% of their time as the control account manager (CAM) for the embedded software control account.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Accountable to work alongside the team to author and implement embedded software solutions.

• Accountable to lead day-to-day activities for Individual Contributors, both technical and operational.

• Accountable as the Control Account Manager to manage cost, schedule, earned value, scope and risk for the embedded software control account through the full SW development lifecycle. Accountable to coordinate with and report out to the Engineering Project Manager, Customer and Engineering Leadership.

• Accountable for timely coordinate with Engineering Leadership on staffing needs.

• Accountable to develop a good working relationship with all team members and stakeholders.

• Accountable for continuous demonstration of the GE Leadership Behaviors – Act with Humility, Lead with Transparency and Deliver with Focus.

• If applicable, accountable to identify supplier scope of work and manage schedule.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar from an accredited university.

• At least 8 years of experience in embedded software development.

• At least 1 year of experience leading a team or providing project management.

• This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

• Demonstrated ability to lead a global and/or virtual team.

• Demonstrated ability of project management skills, including cost, schedule, earned value and scope management.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working DO-178B/C software development processes and certification standards through the full software development lifecycle.

• Demonstrated ability to align with DO-178B/C DAL B.

The salary pay range for this position is $103,000.00 - $126,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.
