GE Aviation is Hiring a Lead Production Quality Specialist Near Jacksonville, FL

Job Description Summary

The Lead Production Quality Specialist will focus on driving a zero-defect culture within the Unison facility in Jacksonville, FL. This role will drive quality compliance in our Igniter, Lead, and Harness department while providing guidance and support to our DSQR team. This role will partner with our operations and lean organizations to utilize Flight Deck problem solving standards.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Quality Ownership: Take charge of both quality assurance and quality control processes, ensuring adherence to standards across product lines, services, and manufacturing operations.
  • Strategic Insight: Utilize your deep understanding of key business drivers to drive impactful solutions and ensure seamless integration with other teams.
  • Problem-Solving Expertise: Leverage your judgment and experience to propose innovative solutions, utilizing technical skills and analytical thinking to address complex challenges.

Additionally, You Will:

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulations, and specifications, ensuring products and services meet and exceed expectations.
  • Utilize historical data and real-time insights to develop effective solutions, employing tools such as root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and eliminate quality issues, verifying the efficacy of corrective actions.
  • Serve as a direct interface with customers, ensuring a superior quality experience throughout.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements.
  • Review and assure compliance with technical and quality system documents, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Take proactive measures to ensure project and team success, mitigating risks and providing technical guidance as needed.
  • Actively participate in all stages of APQP / PPAP activities, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of Quality Engineering experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of Quality Engineering experience.
