Electronics Technician Maintenance II

GDIT is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team, with the ability to perform a wide range of electronics / maintenance technician tasks primarily involving electronics systems used on Navy Submarines.
The Electronics Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of hands-on tasks related to the assembly, integration, and test of electronics circuit boards, systems and associated cabling / harnessing.
The Electronics Technician will be supporting a government program on site working both independently and on small teams on projects that may include maintenance and repair of components, circuitry, boards, and systems.
Required Experience : 1 years of related experience
Required Technical Skills :
- Perform assignments of various types using equipment and / or test fixtures.
- Training with experienced electronic technicians on specific equipment requirements
- Performs recurring work independently; work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions.
- Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts; and may service or repair simple instruments or equipment.
- Conducts a variety of tests using established methods.
Required Skills and Abilities :
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety, AC / DC power systems
- Must be proficient with basic hand tools (ie : power screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, etc)
- Physical requirements must be able to push / pull / lift 50lbs.
- Comfortable with PPE usage for most of the day (hard hat, steel toe boots, etc.)
- Some outdoor element work may be required, but limited
