GCSC Transportation is Hiring a School Bus Driver Near Greencastle, IN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to join our transportation team. The School Bus Driver will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from various locations while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a bus following a set schedule and route
- Ensure the bus is in good working condition before and after each trip
-Secure wheel chairs properly to meet safety standards & check security of all straps
- Maintain order and discipline among students during route-Train students in safe riding practices, street crossing, and emergency evacuation procedures
-Keep the bus clean inside, including attendings to spills & cleaning of bodily fluids as necessary
- Communicate effectively with students and school staff
-Follow all traffic laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Preference to Class B CDL holder with airbrake, P & S endorsements
- Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar role preferred
- Ability to manage student behavior effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with students and school staff
- Experience working with children is desirable
- Ability to pass physical exams as well as random drug/alcohol testing
-Clean background check
