GCC is Hiring a Safety Training and Risk Manager - Flexible on GCC Location Near Hesperus, CO

Experience and abilities you will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience working in a safety position, in a manufacturing, heavy industry, or construction environment required.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ training experience required.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and team skills for working with employees at all levels both internal and external.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional preferred.
We are flexible on the GCC location this position will work out of.
What you will do:
The Safety Training and Risk Manager will identify, develop, and monitor the safety training and risk programs across the U.S. Division. They will design, plan, and implement programs, policies, procedures, and training materials that align with the safety philosophy and safety compliance requirements in the different GCC businesses, with the goal of reducing and mitigating incidents and claims.
Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • Reviews regulatory inspections, injuries, incidents, and field verifications to identify and implement trends, communications, and training needs across the division.
  • Creates and conducts or facilitates safety and risk related training across the U.S. Division.
  • Ensures alignment of training and risk programs with the organization’s safety philosophy.
  • Develops and manages safety and health training and programs, tracking, and documentation to ensure compliance, engagement, and needs of the workforce.
  • Supports operations teams in meeting training requirements and KPI’s.
  • Ensures training compliance related reporting is completed accurately and timely.
  • Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers as needed to meet training needs.
  • Prepare updates to safety manuals and develop additional manuals and guidance as needed.
  • Coordinates required annual training for each business unit (MSHA, audiogram, etc).
  • Relationship liaison and coordinator of safety team responsibilities related to ISN.
  • Manages worker’s compensation, property, and liability programs and claims.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management policies and procedures to identify and mitigate potential risks across the organization.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time.
