Job Description: About the Position: Title: Staff Accountant Department: Global Business Services (GBS) Reports to: Accounting Manager Location: Based in Waverly, IA (Open to Remote work arrangements for the right candidate) We are looking for an Accountant to join our Global Business Services team. Our GBS Team in Waverly supports all of Terex North American locations. In this role you will work as part of the key US accounting hub interacting with your global peers and corporate leaders. Our GBS Accounting team is a customer-focused group of professionals who work collaboratively to create standard work, stable processes, and value-added change. Your opportunities: Throughout your career with us, you will: Be given exposure to a wide range of processes to support a business unit location that will develop your skills in technical accounting concepts Quickly learn to apply your technical accounting knowledge to real world scenarios Network with a variety of Terex team members across multiple functions while working on projects and assignments Have access to opportunities for multiple levels of advancement within the Waverly location, as well as other US and International locations Opportunities for travel, based on own personal desire As part of our team, you will have the following key responsibilities: Accounting activity including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. Complete monthly general ledger accounts, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations along with resolving open items. Month-end closing responsibilities ensuring accurate financial results are reported on a timely basis as per corporate closing calendar. Intercompany accounting and reconciliation support: AR, AP, Intercompany Loan Statement Forecasting - cash and FX forecasting processes. Customer service: provide timely responses to internal and external inquiries. Process improvement Assist in procedure development and recommend / implement process improvements. Compliance with SOX, standardized procedures and internal controls. Prepare government reports / census forms. From time to time, you will be required to undertake other responsibilities / activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities. Basic Requirements: 1-5 years of accounting experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Preferred Qualifications: A strong understanding of US GAAP Candidate based in Waverly, IA The salary range for this position is $42,400.00 - 63,600.00 USD. The salary range may be higher or lower depending on the applicant’s location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
