GBC is hiring a full-time Behavior Technician to help open our first clinic in the Grosse Pointe area!

As one of our first Behavior Technicians, you’ll help build out our newest clinic until our first patients are ready to start services. You’ll also work on completing your 40-hour course for your RBT certification.

Position Responsibilities:

• Complete your 40-hour course for your RBT certification during your first 2 weeks of employment.
• Complete a variety of tasks needed for our clinic's opening including making materials for patients, organizing paperwork, building furniture, setting up patient rooms etc.
• Provide fun and nurturing instruction one on one, to children with autism to help achieve prescribed goals.
• Implement a structured program for each patient to help reduce negative behaviors and learn new social and communication skills.
• Must be comfortable potentially assisting patients with activities of daily living such as changing diapers, assisting patients on the toilet, and helping with showering.
• Collect data during patient appointments using Central Reach.
• Communicate effectively with your BCBA supervisor.
• Reliable to follow a weekly schedule for each assigned patient.
• Commit to at least 6 months of service for each patient.

Required Qualifications:

• Reliable means of transportation.
• High School Diploma (or Equivalent).
• Available Monday-Friday 8AM-3PM.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Be able to perform tasks such as running, crawling, stooping, etc. and occasionally lifting 50 pounds or less.
• Must be able to work on-site and comfortable working in both settings (in-home and in-clinic).

Pay: $18.50 - $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
