Under the direction of an RN, theLPNprovides physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions of care to patients and their families, including medical treatments, on a variety of rehabilitation and medically complex nursing units, as needed. LPNs are valuable members of the healthcare team at Gaylord Hospital and are exposed to a wide range of clinical experiences and skills.

*Current CT LPN License required

*Patient care/Healthcare experience preferred but not required

*American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS Certification required

WORK SCHEDULE: 32 Hour/Week, Evening Shift (3:00 pm-11:30 pm) Rotating weekend and holidays.

Gaylord nursing units offer a variety of skills such as:

Milne 1 & 2: Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes:

• Continuous telemetry monitoring
• Ventilator support and weaning
• LVAD patient population
• Heart Transplant population

Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical Units offer skills such as:

• Stroke
• Complex wounds
• Telemetry
• Pulmonary care

Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty Units are CARF Accredited with a focused patient population:

• Traumatic Brain Injury
• Stroke
• Spinal cord Injury
