Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical records. Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel
- Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently
- Verify insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical billing and coding as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a medical or dental office setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with medical scheduling software is a plus
- Understanding of front desk operations in a healthcare environment
