Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center, located in Los Angeles, is a non-profit organization that provides an array of comprehensive mental health services for Children, Adolescents, Transitional Aged Youth, and Adults suffering from mental illness in the Greater Los Angeles area. The organization consists of a standalone fifty-five (55) bed hospital and six outlying outpatient facilities that have anywhere from fourteen (14) beds to one hundred and thirty-four (134) beds. The organization has approximately four hundred (400) employees.

We are hiring a motivated Mental Health Therapist Registered to join our team! The qualified candidate must have an MSW, MFT, or Master in Counseling from an accredited university. Must be registered with BBS. Responsibilities providing psychotherapy to clients ages 6-21 in individual, family, and group settings. Other responsibilities include advocacy and case management. Services are provided in the Child & Adolescent Outpatient Clinic and in local elementary, middle, and high schools.

Minimum Experience Required

• Successful employment or internship providing individual child, adolescent, family, and group therapy
• Employment or Internship experience in crisis intervention
• Experience in treatment planning
• Experience utilizing Evidenced Based Practices (TF-CBT, Triple P, IPT, MAP, CORS, Seeking Safety)

Minimum Education Required

• Master's Degree from an accredited school of Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or LPCC, and registered with the Board of Behavioral Science (BBSE) or Board of Psychology.

Minimum Certification Required

• Registered with BBS and/or Licensed Waivered

Essential Skills

• One (1) year of experience providing individual children, adolescents, family, and group therapy
• Functional experience in a hospital, social service agency, or residential treatment facility with children and adolescents
• Successful experience in adolescent substance abuse, child and sexual abuse
• Treatment and diagnostic skills utilizing the DSM V
• Functional experience with Los Angeles County Mental Health System
• Ability to complete documentation (i.e., progress notes) within 24 hours
• Provide at least 25 hours of service delivery weekly
• Ability to utilize Electronic Health Record system

Physical Strength

• Light work: able to lift a maximum of 20 pounds
