Therapist - Behavioral Health - FT

• Assesses the biopsychosocial statuses of patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises.
• Fosters a safe and nurturing environment that encourages and reinforces constructive interactions amongst patients Assists patients with the development of personal safety plans.
• Conducts developmentally appropriate group therapies.
• Engages family and community support systems both during and after hospitalization.
• Facilitates multidisciplinary treatment and discharge planning through care coordination with patients, families, community resources and mental health professionals.

Experience

• Demonstrate an understanding of and an appreciation for the physical, social, and psychological needs of adult and geriatric patients. Previous acute behavioral health treatment experience preferred.

Education

• Masters or better in Counseling Psychology or related field
• Masters or better in Social Work or related field

Licenses & Certifications

• C-CPI Crisis Prevention
• C-AHA BLS Basic Cardiac
