Have you ever heard the expression, “Teaching is like herding cats”? Well, teaching children is way more fun than herding cats! Do you also like being a mentor and working with adults? This position gives an opportunity to inspire co-workers, team build, and encouragement to be your BEST self. Here is a glance at what our Teachers are responsible for daily.

Teacher Primary Responsibilities:

• The ability to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people is of the utmost importance.
• Instruct children in activities designed to promote their growth.
• Must love holding, hugging, and sitting in the floor to play/read books with tiny humans!
• When applicable, take daily notes regarding the children's day and communicate those to parents in person and on a tablet in your classroom.
• You must be able to laugh at jokes that you don’t understand, or you don’t find funny. Child humor can be a confusing minefield to navigate!
• Teachers will prepare observations and assessments to use for learning and parent conferences, plan, implement and teach curriculum.
• It is the responsibility of the teacher to ensure their room is clean and within Licensing compliance.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with implementing and designing curriculum.
• Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with children and families.
• Be flexible to fulfill the changing needs of the center day to day.
• Must adhere to the state guidelines for training, as well as company policies.
• Excellent customer service skills, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma/GED.
• Must pass a background check.
• Rate of pay is based on experience, position you are hired for and type of degree you have, if any and is not required.
• Todd/2's position will include diaper changing and/or potty training.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
