Gateway Auto is Hiring a Vehicle Salesperson (FT) Near Omaha, NE

Position Overview:
The salesperson will be the face of our company to customers meaning this person should be someone who brings the highest level of knowledge to the car sales landscape.

Required Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience serving customers.
  • Exceptional analytical skills; in particular, understanding the cause-effect relationships between drivers and outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Ability to understand the use of data and why it is important to maintain high standards of accuracy, precision, and organization.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and projects into manageable goals, meet deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Passion, energy, and enthusiasm to drive results with a team-oriented approach must be self-motivated and proactive.
  • A commitment to the values of the organization, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a high degree of professionalism.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and explore new technologies and their business value through research and development.
  • Available to work at least half-day on Saturdays.
Preferred Qualifications (Not required, but advantageous):
  • Background in vehicle finance or desire to learn.
  • Bi-lingual.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Greet, acknowledge and establish rapport with customers.
  • Maintain accountability in communication, actions and repairs performed.
  • Perform any duties to help maintain shop effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized store.
  • Produce accurate and clear process documentation, analytical reports, and otherwise perform any administrative reporting needs.
  • Ensure proper opening and closing procedures, when responsible.
  • Know each car’s history and how current repair improves vehicle condition and customer needs.
  • Manage car sales operations, including staff, infrastructure and other logistical needs.
  • Train car sales employees, build healthy team chemistry and operations.
What We're Looking For:
Gateway Auto is in the process of digitally transforming its car sales department in order to create an environment that competes with the likes of Carvana, Vroom, CarMax, and others. We believe our key differentiating factor is that we don’t want to entirely automate the process and only sell cars online, we want to use online sales, communication, and automation to enhance the car sales experience. We want to make the process as frictionless and expedited as possible for our customers, and we want to enable our sales team to focus on only the most meaningful work. We plan to do this by automating all of the menial, repetitive tasks that would otherwise bog down the process.
We’re looking for someone who has sales experience and is comfortable with digital operations, cloud-based software, online communication, etc. We do not expect this person to build these transformative technologies but to be able to translate their needs to our tech team and to easily hop in and adjust to new systems.
