Gateway Aesthetic Institute and Laser Center is Hiring a Practice Manager Near Salt Lake, UT

Overview

The Practice Coordinator is responsible for overseeing patient flow and ensuring enough staffing coverage of the front reception desk. This position is the initial point of contact for patients, referring physicians and pharmaceutical representatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Coordinating patient appointments within provider’s schedules
  • Ensuring patient demographic information is current and valid
  • Prepares patient charts for visits
  • Explains and advises employees on insurance, financial and referral authorizations
  • Liaison between staff and clinical manager
  • Monitors patient check in and out to ensure efficiency, resolves issues when they occur
  • Create and manage staff working schedules to ensure enough coverage, escalate issues to the Practice Manager
  • Provide training to current and new Patient Service Representatives
  • Oversee creation of new patient packets
  • Ensure waiting room is clean and in good working order
  • Maintain and order office supplies
  • Sort and deliver mail daily
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or GED 

Experience: Minimum of 3 years medical front desk experience required

Technology Applications: Computer savvy with ability to navigate between multiple systems simultaneously. Ability to use practice management software to utilize electronic medical record keeping. Knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
