ABOUT THE JOB

• PPAP - Production Part Approval Process
• Prepare, populate, and upload all PPAP related documents for all Gates customers
• Understand, promote, and follow the customer specific standards and specs as well as Gates Specifications
• Interpret prints, collect data through part measurement and inspection for PPAP ISIR
• Control product flow in and out of the PPAP stage area
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use of inspection tools (e.g.; calipers and tape measures) and measuring practices
• Support gauge calibrations and update the gauge calibration system as per ECMR
• New hire training on the use of inspection tools (calipers and tape measures)
• Team Member in the development/revision of quality training documents
• Support and assist Quality Techs as needed
• Cpk Studies - document and update Quarterly Cpk charts and display on Quality communication board
• Corrective action investigations
• Development and/or revision of work instructions, job aids and Quality/Process alerts
• Team Member in the validation of corrective actions
• Shift: 1^st Shift

ABOUT YOU

• Must have knowledge of PPAP process and working with required documentation
• Must be a self-starter who requires little supervision
• Above average blueprint understanding
• Strong organizational skills with a passion for detail and accuracy
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
• High school graduate or equivalent
• 3 - 5 years OE Industrial PPAP experience preferred
• While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit; use hands to reach, handle, manipulate and feel objects, tools and controls
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week, plus overtime, with reliable and consistent attendance
• Must have good communication skills, with the ability to carry out written and verbal instruction
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Temperatures may vary in accordance with weather conditions and may be extreme. Gates is managed in compliance with OSHA guidelines and requires all employees to wear steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
