Job Summary
Provide crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes by providing expert nutritional guidance to individuals with various gastrointestinal conditions. As a key member of our healthcare team, collaboration with gastroenterologists, nurses, and other professionals will be required to deliver holistic and patient-centered care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

• Analyze patient medical history, symptoms, dietary habits, and goals.
• Conduct nutritional assessments for patients.
• Develop personalized nutrition plans.
• Focus on managing symptoms, optimizing nutritional intake, and supporting overall digestive health.
• Educate and counsel patients on their relationship with nutrition and gastrointestinal health.
• Provide guidance on dietary modifications, food choices, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Administer PEG tube feedings as needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and contribute valuable nutritional insight.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed.
• Conduct follow-up appointments to assess improvement, address concerns and provide ongoing support.
• Stay abreast and use the latest research, advancements and best practices in gastroenterology and nutrition.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.
• Three years’ related experience required but five years’ related experience preferred.
• Registered Dietitian credentialling completed.
• SC state license required.
