We are seeking a self-motivated, reliable, good-minded, and excited individual to become our Ultrasound Technician at Gastro One.

A typical day as an Ultrasound Tech:

  • Operate ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of various areas of the body.
  • Interpret and analyze diagnostic images to provide preliminary findings for physicians.
  • Maintain patient records, reports, and other administrative tasks.
  • Monitor screen during scan to ensure that the image produced is satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
  • Adjust equipment controls as per the physician’s order to capture a clear image.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and sterilize the room in which the procedure takes place.
  • Determine whether scope of exam should be extended, based on findings.
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

The Must Haves:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Sonography preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
  • Professional certification in American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) required.
  • AAS in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment
  • Understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology
  • Ability to interpret ultrasound images.
  • Familiarity with patient management systems
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
