The Supervisor, Procedure Scheduling is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the procedure scheduling team, acting as an expert in the scheduling function and resolving referral, registration, and scheduling problems as they relate to patient care. They will provide issue resolution, manage workflow, ensure appropriate process/procedures are in place, and take ownership of escalated or complex issues, while consistently demonstrating a positive attitude that reflects the highest regard for all patients, families, providers, and other team members. The person in this role will work to build a cohesive team that embodies Peak culture, putting the patient first and maximizing opportunities.
Direct and guide staff to ensure an excellent patient experience.
Effectively communicate with team members, building a cohesive department and sharing relevant and pertinent organizational information as appropriate.
Develop and implement position workflows and build appropriate work aids to assist in the execution of position objectives.
Proactively research roadblocks within department and provide appropriate solutions to leadership.
Assist in the development and management of team metrics.
Lead the team in meeting established KPI’s, and continuously monitor departmental goals and objectives, providing guidance and support where necessary.
In conjunction with the Practice Administrator, actively manage performance development and corrective action within department.
Assist the Practice Administrator in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training team members.
Communicates with providers/physicians and other departments regularly.
Assures schedules are maximized across physician base and accurately communicates delays or cancellations/issues.
Ensure team is compliant with all clinic regulations, requirements, and industry standards.
Complies with organizational and HIPAA policies and regulations to ensure patient care is kept confidential.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting
Minimum of 2 years of experience scheduling surgeries/procedures preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory role preferred
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Coding and working knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Proficiency in MS Excel, or other scheduling software
